Key Responsibility: 1. Undertake or assist with the full range of staff recruitment and selection processes within agreed time frames including advise and support to line management on the development of job profiles, job slotting, placing advertisements, drafting interview questions, coordinating candidate information and interviews, preparation of selection reports, conducting reference checks, constructing offers and employment contracts. 2. Ensure compliance of the recruitment policies for the company and implementation a fair and consistent salary structure. 3. Work with the HR Manager/ Managing Director to develop and implement a Learning & Development Strategy. 4. To maintain records for all employees training undertaken and evaluation in order to ensure both appropriateness of training and value for money. 5. Co-ordinate staff performance management and provide ongoing support to line management and staff ensuring the activities in the process are carried out in a timely manner and followed up as per KPL procedures. 6. Support the Managing Director in the salary review process in gathering the required data and analysing them in order to measure KPL’s compensation and benefit package competitiveness in the labour market and make recommendation as appropriate. 7. Assist in monitoring and ensuring organisational legislative compliance in relation to workplace practices and Tanzanian Labour Laws. 8. Maintaining up to date knowledge of the legislative changes in relation to Labour Laws of Tanzania and representing the best interests of KPL at the Labour Court in respect of any employment disputes 9. Support the implementation of the KPL Policies ( i.e. KPL disciplinary and grievance code and the KPL security disciplinary code of conduct that are meant to safeguard staff) by clearly communicating the existence of the policies and ensure all staff clearly understand the standard of behavior that KPL expects from its staff. 10. Facilitate manpower planning by creating a platform for managers to be proactive in the determination of their manpower needs over a short, medium and longer term. 11. Assist with the complete re-organisation of the Human Resources Department.
